Sometimes macarons are lost on the way to perfection

Well I promised I’d share with you images of our early attempts at making vegan macarons.

So you’ll see in the image the heartache, the torture, the disasters that accompanied us for weeks, no let me correct myself, for months! I was determined not to give up.

Surely it couldn’t be that difficult could it?

You have to go through a process to see that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Perseverance was key. From under mixing to over mixing, under baking to over baking, temperature too low to burnt macarons, I learnt so much on the journey to where we are now.

It was a real life lesson and one I’d suggest to anyone embarking on an adventure - immerse yourself fully, be brave and you will win!
